Fair’s surgeon has been continuously asking for second opinions from his fellow surgeons about the best way to tackle the cancer in her lungs. Within the last couple of days, he decided it would be best to do biopsies on the right lung on Monday instead of doing surgery on the left lung like we had planned.
After the biopsies, they will be able to better determine how to shrink the cancer on the right lung so they can extract the cancer in the safest and most effective way.
The cancer on her right lung is right next to her arteries making it the more dangerous operation of the two, and it is important that we deal with the right lung as soon as possible.
Monday’s procedure is an outpatient one so there is a good chance she will be able to come home that day. Fair is very glad that she won’t have to deal with recovering from surgery just yet and so is our family.
I will try my best to give you all an update Monday evening.
