We are continuously amazed at how well Fair has been recovering from her surgery. Her surgeon did a wonderful job in removing the cancer, and consequently, she is having little pain and breathing very well. I am with Fair right now. She is sleeping. Naturally she is experiencing pain but it is being managed well. It hurts to breathe but not near as bad as the lung biopsy back in July. Surgery day update
The head surgeon said everything went really well and was less invasive than what they thought it might have to be. He feels confident all of the cancer is gone from the left lung. We are thankful. Surgery is scheduled for Monday, February 8th.
Fair is going to have surgery Monday to remove the cancer from her left lung. It will involve removing a rib as well so they can get to it. They’re going to freeze her ribs which is supposed to help with the pain. Fair’s biopsy went really well. She had hardly any discomfort. Her spirits were great despite being pretty hungry since she did not eat breakfast or lunch. Fair had an appointment today with her surgeon. Her first lung surgery is scheduled for January 18th. Miraculously, the tumors on her lungs have not grown.
