Yesterday was Fair’s best day at home. She ate well and did not have to walk gingerly from place to place. It was good to see her doing so well. She is going to be in the hospital from Wednesday through Tuesday to start the 2nd stage of her chemo with the intense infusion. Thank you for your prayers.
Fair’s hairstylist came over on Saturday and shaved her hair. Our beautiful Fair is in good spirits.
Fair’s spirit and attitude have been amazing from the beginning. Like I said before, her mom and I have encouraged her that it is OK to cry and have bad days. She has had some good cries during this time which we know is healthy. Her fighting spirit and positivity have so impressed me that I interviewed her the other day on how she is able to have such a good attitude while going through so much adversity. This is what she said.
“The main reason is Jesus. He has given me an unexplainable peace even when the pain was past a level 10. I feel safe and at rest. I know God is going to take care of me no matter what I have to go through.
It is also encouraging that I know so many people are praying for me and are in my corner. I am also blessed to have a family that take care of all of my needs and makes me as comfortable as possible.
I am 100% confident in a complete recovery.
I have been continuing to press into God. He has been speaking to me and showing me my purpose. He has been showing me bits and pieces of why I am going through this. I fully trust Him and am excited to learn more.”
Fair’s last comment I am going to share below really got me. As our family is helping her through this I am also learning from my daughter. I am so glad to be able to share the reasons behind her peace and joy with you. I hope it inspires and encourages you as it has me.
“I am almost glad to go through it because I know what is on the other side is going to be worth it.”
