Fair had a pretty good day yesterday after her pain was managed in the morning. Some challenges she is dealing with are not being allowed to eat and drink and her throat being sore from all the coughing and the larger breathing tube that was used for this surgery. Fair coughed all night and it kept her awake and caused a lot of discomfort. Coughing is expected after this type of surgery but it’s a tough thing to work through. Successful surgery!
4:00 PM The cancer is gone! The surgeon told me the surgery was a success. All of the cancer was removed without additional surgery to the heart or airways being needed. May 24 update
Fair caught a stomach virus on the 21st, and it really set her back. She has been feeling very weak since then and has been struggling to eat and exercise.
